Jay (he/they) comes to tattooing as a mixed media artist, originally cutting his teeth on fan art & comics. His inspiration stems from a lifetime of loving manga, video games, sculpture, art nouveau, storybook illustrations, and animals.

When he’s not drawing or tattooing, Jay loves playing JRPGs and visual novels, attending cons, taking care of his cat and dog, and enjoying musicals. Jay’s background is in theater and higher education, which makes tattooing a very disappointing career turn from his parents’ perspective, but he couldn’t be happier!

Specialities

Jay loves drawing animals and mythical creatures in a heavy linework style that borders on neotraditional. He’s excited to make pieces that celebrate both black and gray shading and bright colors, and he is ALWAYS down for nerdy tattoo ideas that let him play with different styles!
